Mission Statement

The path to happiness begins by embracing love and kindness. The first step is being kind to yourself.

"The best thing I can do for you is work on myself. The best thing you can do for me is work on yourself."

 Ram Dass

My name is Eames Yates Jr, and for more than a decade I've been a local news reporter throughout the country for CBS and FOX. I founded a start up company focusing on media in Hong Kong. But nothing has brought me more joy than when I started doing videos like handing out flowers to strangers in New York City for Business Insider. They got millions of views, and I was hooked on random acts of kindness. My professional past aside, there has always been a deep connection to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

My grandfather, Senator Claiborne Pell, was the only politician to meet the Dalai Lama when he first came to America in 1979. He became a fierce supporter of His Holiness for decades. They also developed a special friendship.

I am now a practicing Vajrayana Buddhist affiliated with Shechen Monastery in Nepal. The monastery was founded by the Dalai Lama's teacher, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

30 percent of all proceeds go to Shechen Clinic and Shechen Monastery, both of which are in Nepal and help thousands of children, elderly, and monks live a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My religion is kindness

This site is dedicated to His Holiness The 14th Dalai Lama. It is also dedicated to my Guru Gayduen Rinchen who lives in Bhutan. My Guru is a part of Shechen Monastery founded by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche.

Margaret Mead:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
